Ross Pistons - Who carries?

It is a misconception that Show Cars only carries only “off the shelf pistons from Ross.”
The only off the shelf (stocking) piston that Ross has are the stock stroke stock rod 5/64 ring land pistons in 30 over (Our part number 5944P30 $649.00 per set because Ross stocks them.)
The other off the shelf (Stocking) piston is the 4” stroke, 6.135 rod 1/16 ring land pistons in 30 and 60 over, again at $649.00 per set because Ross Stocks them. Our part number 7554P30 and 7554P60.
All the other Ross pistons in our catalog are custom made to our specks. While they may be on our shelf, they are not on Ross's shelf.
You ask are they the same quality as the custom piston at 749.00? Yes they are same piston the same quality same forging if you change one item on this piston lets say you want it in .040 over it is a custom piston one set at a time will cost you 749.00.
Just a few years ago all three of the stocking pistons were a custom order pistons and you payed 700.00 plus for them . Because the three pistons were the most popular type 409 piston with our promoting Ross could set up and machine 50 sets of them at a time and save 100.00 a set and pass it on to us. They cost us less so they cost you less.
We can have your pistons made to your specifications Bore, stroke, rod length,ring width & land spacing , compression height (deck height), compression ratio, dome volume and height, valve relief od & depths, wrist pins, passenger & truck block and more all yours for $749.00
There is a added cost for:
Gas Porting
Teflon coating
Maximum contour milling,
(Maximum weight removal)

Bruce, That is a great explanation , it should clear up much confusion. I was already aware of it but I think many were not. Thanks
