Yes, I will do it again at the up coming test and tune sept 18th. The plugs have always been dry clean and the heat range is spot on. Ralph always says he wished his plugs were that good!
Those are all good things for sure. But what does it look like down at the bottom of the porcelain where it meets the shell? That is where it will show you rich or lean for WOT. IMG_1146.jpeg

So what's the 2 and three 3 ground strap between fuel difference, is it where the heat line stops?
That’s what they are saying but it’s wrong. The heat mark at the bend is what is generally correct for gas. As for alcohol just run the coldest plug you can and screw the mark on the ground strap. It’s near impossible to foul a plug on alcohol but if it’s hot bad things happen fast! I chose the picture because it showed the base of the plug well.

Thanks Dan, I try to have mine over the curve. I know that may be on the hot side but the pit and staging of the car makes it easier to keep the plugs clean and for quarter mile racing I don't believe I'm hurting anything. Now if I was doing some long endurance racing I would cut back.

I know you have to cut away the threads, next time I will post a Pic, mine are at 2.5 ish on the heat range. I use NGK -8's recommended by the tech at NGK. SHE was spot on for my combination. These cut plugs were after lots of idoling and about 4 passes. Those are super rich but like you said, with all the idle time it’s difficult to say what’s going on.

Well most of the parts have came in except for the valve covers that were getting clear anodized to keep from getting greasy fringerprints on them. My Wilson, headers also showed up.And they will be installed later to test fit and then to have jet hot coated inside and out. I spent most of the day test fitting and adjusting and painting , but here's a few picks. I was also able to put the epoxy between the water pump and the timing chain cover to keep it from flexing and retarding the timing. The crank trigger would fix that anyway. I like the way these 31x10.5W's fit much better too. One of a kind valve covers too!!! Thanks Jeff Asbury you are awsome!!!FB_IMG_1725756769886.jpgFB_IMG_1725764521406.jpgFB_IMG_1725764526437.jpgFB_IMG_1725764517941.jpgResized_20240907_121859_1725731082989.jpegResized_20240717_115932.jpegFB_IMG_1725765432044.jpg20240819_074744.jpg20240819_074823.jpgResized_20240907_121837_1725731082163.jpeg

All of the front of the engine is together, mounting the puke tank tomorrow night. Valve covers are still not here yet. Maybe tomorrow... Jeff made a billet oil fill tube with a cap that seals for the vacuum pump...he's certainly awsome!!! Changed the oil and filter tonight and works perfect.:dance20240910_183021.jpg20240910_182733.jpg20240910_182725.jpg20240910_182640.jpg20240909_192458.jpg20240909_192416.jpg20240909_192401.jpg20240909_192337.jpg20240910_182342.jpg

Saw the video of this thing running in the garage and man does it sound good. Really snappy. Some serious beef in that engine, splayed 4 bolt billet caps etc. Engine compartment is super sanitary. Love it!!

I'm sure Steve would be very pleased with everything you've done to this car.
