Both my 409 and my 348 had seized pistons. I had to bust a piston or two to remove them out of each engine. Blocks just needed to be bored .030" to clean up the cylinder walls. I believe it was mentioned in a previous thread about using a method of drilling a series of holes in the pistons to aid in their removal. Maybe give that a try?:dunno
