Thanks, LA! An 11 second Bel Air; that's getting down the track pretty great! I have plans to drop in a 650 hp 383 small block in my 62. Did you have to do many mods to the driveshaft and rear axle? Is it a "three-pedal" car?
I would replace the rear end. A 12 bolt from a chevelle may be a good choice. Likely easier to find a 9 inch Ford.
Inland Empire make a serious drive shaft. If you look at website, you could probably have a shop near you make one.
You have a geart engine shop near you. M&M Competition engines. Excellant work.

Thanks for the feedback, Bob. I've heard of the Inland Empire products; seems that folks give them high marks. I have a lot of 9 inch components (Strange case, Gleason posi, etc) but I'm slightly unsettled about putting Ford parts in a Chevy... :confused

I'm pretty sure if I just cruise around and get on it a little here and there with an engine thats under 400 ft lbs of torque, I'd be fine with the old setup. But, since I'd have to put a posi in it anyway, I'd probably order an aftermarket 9 inch housing and axles, then build an appropriate pig for it.

Showing off loses it's gratification if you break something....

BTW , I guess you could say I'm a fellow region rat; grew up between Hobart and Merrillville... :winner
