I'm not sure what it works out to, it's around £5 a gallon over here, Lincolnshire is very rural so you can soon click up a few miles and fuel bills to match.
Good choice converting over to muscle cars although the Minors are quite nice, there's not that many convertibles about but there's even less vans and pickups about. I tell you what is growing in value, late 70's and 80's fords, the prices are going silly, you can be paying over 2k for base models and 10k plus for desirable and sports models,
Lotus cortina and escort mexicos are very very sort after, I know these prices don't really compare with original american muscle cars but to Jo blogs over here, they are expensive.
Cheers guys, tea time now,
Please share pictures of my car and have a look at SLAMMEDIA.NET for more pics, please pass that name around in car circles over there, I want to find out my Chevys past.
Thanks everyone.

It is interesting to note what is hot and where in the world that demand is :).

At the risk of losing my membership, here is a photo of my wife and I in a Minor "Tourer" from a while back :) :) :).

Cheers!

Ah ha, cool pic Tom, the Moggy looks to have been in fine fettle, I bet you had the smallest car on your block.
Thanks for your warm welcome guys, no 409, Iowa 409, 63 dreaming, it's nice to have friends so far away, I've been to the States twice, Florida both times, a bit too commercial for my liking really But it was a family thing, you know, Mickey Mouse for the kids etc although I did get to the Saturday night cruise in Old town which was pretty cool for someone from England to see.
Anybody been over here yet for a visit, how was the rain lol !!!
I'm in lincoln, it's two hours north of London.
If and when it comes to buying parts from the states, is they a one stop shop for anything and everything for my Chevy with good postage prices to the Uk or is it a case of searching around different suppliers for the different items.
Thanks for your help lads, please keep sharing and talking about my Chevy and remember there's some cool pics on SLAMMEDIA.net
It would be great to find out more about my car, thanks, chat soon. Paul.

Tom, In the late 60;s a friend's cousin had a Morris Minor. Our plan was to drop a small block in it. I'm sure it would have resulted in death! Sure were light!

Paul, I have our old Belair equipt about the same resting in the garage. I've repaired rust in the frame 3 times in different places. The rust belt is not kind to steel vehicles. I rebuilt the 6 cylinder with .030 over power forged TRW's(ordered by mistake) but after 189,000 miles, never once needed to work on the air cooled powerglide. Several times it provided emergency parts to get the SS to the track. Since 1974 the only time it failed to start was when debris got in the check valve of the fuel pump. You can get 25 mpg on the highway. The ride height and wheels will make up for lack of LOUD!!
Welcome.

Hi Bob, thanks for the message, I must admit I found it to be confusing as I'm not up on the knowledge and mechanics etc.
Merry Christmas to you all and hope you have a cracking new year. Paul.
