Hello all

I got my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:clap

I found a "new" stereo in the glove box, and am wondering what size speakers will be the best fit for the stock locations.

Looks like the dash has 2 small speakers in it. As for the rear seat speaker. I am not sure.

Also any hints/tricks to removing the rear speaker????

Thanks in advance for all of your help!!!

Those dual speaker kits that fit in the stock dash location are pretty useless for stereo. Unless you're not pickey what so ever about having a good sounding stereo. I would suggest you use the plastic kick panel speakers for the front. Dual 6X9's in the rear deck is the best but some don't like to cut the holes.

Bill. To remove the rear speaker, you must remove the upper seat back. The whole grille and speaker is screwed to metal in the back of the seat, with phillips head screws. Remove seat bottom by pushing back, and down, and lifting up. After seat bottom is out, you'll see two bolts holding the upper seat back in place. Easy job. As for as the rear speaker size, I think it's 6 1/2 in, I don't see why a 6 3/4 can't be made to fit. Hope this helps. Skip:)
