Rollingflat in illinois 66 c80

Hi, new member just wanted to introduce myself. Proud new owner of a 66 c80 grain truck, 366 engine, low cab forward model. 5 speed straight trans. Bought from the original owners family has sat for about 10 yrs in shed. Drove it about an hr home( a bit Sketchy with the brakes).
But over all love it. Goal is to fix brakes, looks like a rear wheel Cylinder is leaking, and it has an Exhaust manifold leak. Put it back in to service around our farm hauling firewood, compost, mulch for garden.
Teaching my 14 yr old son how to drive a stick..... and maybe run the local summer Parade. Here are some pics....

Nice. It looks like a Knapheide box? Does it have a 2 speed rear end?

No, it has a straight 5speed transmission, no split rear. Not sure about the grain box?
I belive it was a semi tractor which was converted and stretched. You can see where the frame was fixed and then stretched. Also it has a single 3 stage cylinder which I like.

Hey bill I registered on that fourm same time last week as I did this one , but still can't post, keeps saying I don't have privileges? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Always liked the front wheel spokes. I would paint them black glossy and the retaining tire ring silver. Same on back . But it's your truck ,just a suggestion. Oh and apply tire black to all tires. I bought some tire black online and it stays on better than all the tire dressings I have used.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking the same on the gloss blk for spokes, but was thinking the chevy off white for trim....but I think I'll test the silver as well. Already got the tire blk ready! Lol great minds think alike!

Update on truck, replaced rear axle seal all good there, (napa part number 38750). Got front wheels painted, bumper, and grill. Still have to get my daughter to repaint the chevrolet blk... but I think it's looking good. Will work on rears next. My son wondered what it would look like with the same seamist green on the spoke wheels instead of blk!!? Wow! That may look great?
Anyone know if that's what it would have come from the factory?
I my have to try that on one of the fronts in the future...

The ones I have seen were black spokes. Is your frame double almost to the rear axle? I am not able to enlarge the photo enough.
