Maybe we get older and only remember the good things and throw away the bad ones. However, when I think of Graffiti nights in Modesto, I go back to the time when it was organic cruising by the people. I still went for years, but it seemed the City got more involved every year until they decided that it belonged to them, and not the people. Some of it is understandable. Police cost alone for 2 nights was costing the City a fortune. Then the drugs, gangs, and alcohol, seemed to get pretty bad for awhile. Hopefully it has gotten back to something better.

The City still displays their inability to organize anything larger than a yard sale. But it was generally a good time, lots of "new" cars and a low percentage of morons. Some of the shows were better than the parade.

The weather has been exceptional, we are getting a perfect Spring, if maybe a little late, after a wet Winter. Looks like a lot of locals have been hiding away working on their cars. Or spending Covid money on them anyway.
