I never knew about or understood what an x frame car was, until I bought my '62 Impala. Why they ever changed the frame, IDK. What a pain in the ass to put it on my 2 post lift. You had to get it perfect so that the arms would barely make it. If not, jack up the car, put it on skates and then position it. I don't think those x frames were such a good idea, were they?? Didn't they take away from the safety of side impacts?? Must not have been such a good idea because they went back to the outer frames in '65 I believe, Carmine.
