wide rear tires

Hey Ya'll- I'm a newbie to the sight, I like what I have seen so far. I am building a 62 Bel Air, non matching #s 409.I was wondering if any one here is running rear tires in the 315 to 335 width range on the 62 frame and body. I am curious to know how wide I can go before ther frame contact. Thanks in advance..........DZ

We run 275/70 - 15 tires on the back of our SS, with some minor contact on fast corners, they are on 15x8 's. We run a 29.0x11.0 slick on our racecar, that is a Bel Air 2dr sedan. The outer lips have been trimmed, and the inside flattened against the frame, and the clear, again with minor contact on fast corners. The slick has a 12.1 inch sectional width.
