Modern Tire Considerations

I placed the order for my rims and the next step is shoes.
Locally (80503) these are the choices available.
As much as I would like to do track racing, the reality is probably much street than racing.

Rather than sit through paralysis analysis alone, I thought I'd look for some real world experience.

I would probably get something that I liked the tread pattern of as long as it had decent reviews or was a name brand.
I haven't bought a set of tires for years. Scary. Got a quote for my GMC HD2500 this week, $1673 out the door, includes $60 rebate!
What I was quoted was Michelin's, same exact tire it came with. I have 54,XXX miles on them and they have 1/4" tread left, but they are 7 years old.
