Hello from Alberta, Canada!

Hi to everyone! I am new to this site. I am the owner of this Ermine White and Silver Blue Metallic, 1963 Impala Survivor. One family owned since new. I bought this car from Dad 25 years ago, who ordered it new from Edson Motors in early 1963. It has 27,100 miles on it, and is all original other than a reproduction battery! Also have all the paperwork since day one. This car has been in a garage every day since new, other than summer day trips and holidays to BC, during the 60's and 70's. It is possibly the only 1963 Impala on the planet, that still has the factory plastic on the back seat.

I am also working on a 1962 409 engine project. I am sure, I will have many questions! It is a A2562 casting date, pre X, standard bore, with QB stamping, block. Hope you like the pics!

Fred

Grandma had those covers in her Oldsmobile, I remember them being hot in the Kansas sun. Sure was fun watching the changing color slide speedometer go to red when dad would wringing the cobwebs out of it on those county roads.

Welcome to 348-409 you will love it here.It is different from any forum in the web.
That’s a very nice 63,that has a wonderful story that goes along with it.Survivors are getting harder and harder to come by.Which plant did your 63 come out of?
Good luck with your 62.

Thank you Rick! VIN for a US built car is different than a Canadian built car. Since there was only one plant in Canada that built the 1963 Impala, which was in Oshawa Ontario, there was no need for a letter in the VIN.
