Edelbrock Head Variations

Anyone recall about when Edelbrock changed the engraving on the ends of their heads from “Performer 409” to “Performer RPM 409”?

Did the early heads have machining issues, or was that just limited to the sheetmetal pushrod guides?

Everything I have bought from Edlebroke has had machining issues lately.

I believe all operations have been moved to Olive Branch, Ms but should have nothing to do with quality you would think. If I recall correctly it took a couple years to get up and running.

I'm sure Bob doesn’t mind their problems.

I think the early ones had rocker studs and guide plate issues.

I think mine were kind of early no issues with machining , pushrod guideplates or anythingl About 25 dyno pulls

I had some of the early ones and had no issues! There still running on the Nova!!
