build date

Hello,
I just bought this 62 409/409 a few months ago and still going over it. I known the drive train are numbers correct, but with out a build sheet its hard to tell about when the cars was built. Can you come close with the serial number? The drive train is all cast in June. The block was decked so there goes that time line stamp.
serial # L208343. Any thoughts

You would have to have the factory monthly sheets that kept track of all VINs and build dates.

Isn't it on the trim tag?

Here's a pic of my trim tag.. the 0 6 D in the left corner under the Chevrolet and to the left of the word Detroit is the date... mine I believe is the 4th week of June,,

4th week of June is correct but remember this is the date that Fisher built the body, the car didn't come off the assembly line until later.

Yes, usually a few days later
