60 Impala from Wisconsin

I am from Menomonie Wisconsin and drive a 1960 Impala Sport Coupe with a 348. I currently have the car at Fast Freddies in Eau Claire to have the engine refreshed and replace the powerglide transmission with a TH200-4R three speed with overdrive. Also adding front disc brakes and upgrading the front suspension. Looking forward to Spring when I can get it back on the road,

Peter,

Welcome to the Zoo.... Remember to keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times... Like others have said, pictures are really good, because some of us don't read too good. We travel to Eau Claire and Madison/Jefferson area each year to visit friends. Do you ever go to the Jefferson swap meet - car show ? My good friend Ted is very involved in that event.

This is my 1960 Chevy Biscayne from 1968, 283 with a 3 speed on the floor. Bought it for 75 bucks with a straight six and a powerglide transmission. The original engine got about 50 miles to the quart so I bought a 59 with a six and manual 3 speed transmission and swapped it out in the 60. After a while I got bored with the six cylinder so I picked up a 283 and dropped that in. I graduated from High School in 69 and got married shortly after and was forced on trading my beloved 60 for a family Rambler. That Hurt!!! Now that my kids are grown, done with college and have their own families I can finally relive my high school days and get my 60 Chevy back. I made a few upgrades, 4 door to 2 door, Biscayne to an Impala Sport Coupe but I still love the black with the white stripe.
