Based only on the location of the dipstick, I'd say it is a 348. I have a 348 and my dipstick is on driver side like this one. I'm pretty sure the 409 dipstick is on passenger side.

I know that, but he said that he changed the oil pan to fit his car. Is there anything I missed?

Yes, the block is a 60-61 348
Heads are 348
Oil pan is 348
Intake is 64 340 HP 409 cast iron ( ALL 61 409 intakes are alumimum )
409 truck distributor

I HATE it when people use those "catch phrases like "Z11" !

Looks like he engine is a curious collection of a bunch of parts ( and NOT valuable ones ) that were laying around the garage.... In fact, it's probably one of those infamous truck 348 blocks !
