235 Stuck Valve

How can I free a stuck valve the engine has been sitting a long while and it developed a miss then clacking noise I took off the valve cover and 1 of the push rods is bent I believe its a stuck valve do I use a block of wood and a hammer and tap on it or what are some solutions.

You can pull the manifolds so you can get to the exposed valve stem and spry some penetrant on it and around the valve spring. Then you can tap it down.

Probably an intake valve.? Main cause is badly varnished stinky fuel and lines. If so carb cleaner and light oil should help.

There are a lot of people that don't realize that stinky fuel tank gas can stick valves. It's not good when the piston has to close the valve.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up pulling the head and taking it in for cleaning and a valve job just to make sure the issue is gone. going to drop the tank too and clean it out and refill with new no ethanol gas. then on to the brakes.
