62 Impala Gold Anniversary question

Hi All, i am looking at a 62 Impala hardtop. It is fairly well stripped down and in boxes. The owner is telling me it's a rare 62 Anniversary Gold car.
Can this be verified by the vin number? I de coded it but i can only see general information about it. The car is missing it's paint, but does have gold bucket seats in place. Any information would be appreciated.

You need a picture of the cowl tag on the drivers firewall plus the VIN picture from the drivers door jamb
with this information the 62 can be verified if it’s a golden anniversary 62.

The VIN does not tell you if it’s a golden anniversary car ( you must have the cowl tag )
plus the pictures verify if the tags match each other.
Carl Snelling can check the tags.

i have a article written by Vern Frantz for Antique Auto Club of America on all Golden Anniversary cars from 1958 to 1963it lists hiw many GM made ( over 16,000 cars as I recall).

Thank you very much Paul, ok i will have to work on seeing if the car has the cowl tag.
This car is in Australia, and has been off the market for alot of years. Its just up the road from me and i have just had it offered to me.
I do wonder if it's valuable and worth the exercise?
