Funny story, the first time I ever took the Impala to the track was the High school nationals in 1990. I had just got the car painted a month before ( same paint it still has) when I went down the track with my killer 16.36 the announcer said over the loud speaker that it looked like somebody brought their daddys 63 Impala out. I didn't hear it but when my friends told me I went straight to the tower pissed because I busted my ass and used all my own money to buy and put it together, Bill appoligized to the punk kid that stormed the tower. Then I wrote on the back window for the rest of the race " This Isn't Daddys Car". Great man he was and like it states he always had a smile on.

Went to the Night Under Fire at the track last night. Was the best one yet “tribute to his father “ lots of touching events. Best fireworks show I’ve ever seen , including a stairway to heaven out of fireworks.
