Interesting story about a Lincoln V-12. Back in the 40's or '50's a local moonshiner had a Ford V-8. Believe it was a 1940 or '41 Ford. The guy found a Lincoln V-12 and just had to have it in his car. Brought it to my friend's Dad's shop and talked him into installing it thinking he would have the ultimate likker runner. Thing thing did not want to fit and they kept working on it and working on it and finally ended up having to cut the firewall and dashboard to get it in there. And once they were done, the thing had no more power than the V-8 had. They weren't made for speed, evidently.
