Both cars have been in "storage since November...the good one is at my inlaws farm in a lean to and the racecar is in a snowbank at a buddy's place. As I own a small business, I haven't had any time this winter to do ANYTHING to these...chomping at the bit I am. Can't wait for halfway decent...

Hey, folks...I have recently purchased a 61 Bel Air with a 283 and a 3 speed. Old race car from way back...It has all the hardware that I need to convert my 61 4dr Impala into a 4 speed. With that said, I also purchased a 4 speed Saginaw. My question is about shifters. Is there one that works...

Absolutely gorgeous! I just got a 61 4 door Sedan late this summer with the Power pak 283 and PG. My plans this winter are to convert to a 4 speed. Thanks for sharing your story!

I am building on a budget...the reason for the 69 or later tilt is strictly money driven...they have a tendency to be cheaper. If I can get a 60's tilt column for $150, I'm all ears!

I have a 61 Impala 4 door with a glide and am looking for any info on replacing the factory column with a tilt from a 69 or newer GM. I had a 61 Bel Air drag car in the 80's that someone had converted, but I was too young to understand what was used. Obviously not too concerned about keeping it...
