The block is Block# 3798962 , and the heads are 333's. The dipstick is on the passenger side, like a 409.So maybe it's the bigger pan? The 409 crank, fresh turned 30/30, was $150.
I'm pretty stoked about this engine for the car!

I have 333 heads, And was going to switch to something that came on higher Hp motors.
Can someone tell me why these truck heads are good to use? When I look them up, I would never choose to use them, but when I read people's builds, thay seem to be a pretty...
Thanks guys! Along with the crank swap, and a tri-power, I'll be porting and polishing the heads, and running HEI. Any tricks for the 348 that I should know?
I'll have a built 200R4 behind it. Here are pics cof my car.It no longer has the donk rims, it now has Fenton slots.
Just talked to Egge, ans they have two sets of main bearings, and over 300 rod bearings on the shelf.
For a minute there, you had me thinking this wasn't so cheap afterall!

What heads-585, 586, or the 333 truck heads that seem to be getting popular? Or a different one? I don't want to buy aftermarket heads- too many $$$'s.

If I put 409 crank in the 348, can I use the 348 conn rods and pistons?
I've read that most are using BBc 6.175" rods, with aftermarket pistons...
